20060628 Let there be linux
Linspire lives! Additional memory gave our newest computer (which has yet to be named) a kick-start, bringing it to acceptable, if not blazing, speed. However, the new memory seemed to have wiped the old memory of how to open the included browser. After much wrangling and wrestling, and unattainable without the very much appreciated help of our friend Shad, Firefox now graces the new comp and enables the household to talk to the world again. Hello, world! ;-)
Otherwise our evening was filled with new exercises in creative thinking - about how to keep GP in our yard. We are considering renting him out to companies making subway tunnels - he could cut their time and expense and help pay for his room and board at the same time!
